This set of condominium buildings is an ambitious project at the Muskoka Bay Golf Club. The design intends to create a contemporary urban aesthetic while employing natural materials that pay homage to the rugged setting. The units are modeled off of boutique hotel rooms – compact but luxurious – to offer an affordable way to experience the rich amenities and beautiful setting year-round.
Generous balconies shade expansive glass on the southern face, and offer stunning views across the lush golf course, ponds, and woods. On the road-side, stair volumes act as wood-slatted lanterns at night, frosted-glass entry doors animate the façade with light from the occupied suites, and an open-air corridor illuminating the rear of the units. Users will have access to new amenities such as plunge pools, hot tubs and sun decks, and will be connected to the existing course and facilities through extended golf cart pathways that wind through trees and the stunning local Canadian shield.
