Thorncrest House

Design

New construction of a house to accommodate a growing family of 5 and guests. Private spaces are arranged to allow open concept and double height common spaces. Particular attention was paid to natural daylight exposure at the basement walk-out and easing its transition to grade via sunken pool, deck and grass terraces. Shading is provided by deep roof overhangs and cantilevered volumes.
