Jones Collombin Investment Counsel Inc. approached us to design and manage the construction of a new 4,600 sq. ft. office for their expanding firm. When space became available in the (architecturally significant) TD Centre towers, with soaring views of downtown Toronto, the opportunity could not be missed.
Our team was inspired by the heritage Mies van der Rohe building, and adopted a clean, modern aesthetic for the new interiors. The travertine rock of the elevator lobbies migrated into the reception area. Teknion glass and plywood partitions formed necessary space separations on the sizeable floor plate, while maintaining the sense of an open office. A light-coloured, neutral palette ushers in bright interior spaces that feel inclusive of natural light despite the deep floor plate.
