The Original Jones Collumbin

Toronto, Ontario

For their new offices, Jones Collombin sublet 4,600 sq.ft. of surplus office space from another firm in the east Sun Life Tower. Our challenge was to create an entrance where there was none, and to convert an existing mailroom, staff room and storage area into a reception, boardroom, conference room, and office for one of the managing partners.

The result is an elegant open space with a warm and subtle palette. The focus of the design is the curved boardroom that has the flexibility to be completely opened into one large reception area for entertaining clients.

This flexibility is achieved with three uniquely curved sliding mahogany doors that we designed and produced in-house. They slide effortlessly into any position, and offer a play of light and form that gives welcome relief from the otherwise linear lines of accustomed office space.
