Sustain Design Studio Celebrates the Launch

This past weekend Sustain Design Studio hosted Member of Parliament and President of the Treasury Board, Tony Clement, at the miniHome production facility for the launch of spring construction and FedNor funding announcement.

This investment will help create jobs, stimulate business development and growth at the Parry Sound Area Municipal Airport and help local entrepreneurs find the resources they need to be successful.

There was a great turn out at the St. Patricks Day event, where the only thing green was the miniHome’s sustainable features. The miniHome is designed by architects at Altius maintaining the design excellence of the established company. The three partners at Altius have invested heavily in Sustain Design Studio and represent three fifths of Sustain’s management team.

The FedNor funding announcement addressed support for infrastructure development at the Parry Sound Area Municipal Airport industrial site. Additionally the funding will support the ongoing operations of the Parry Sound Area Community Business and Development Centre (CBDC) allowing the organization to fund a variety of community-based economic development projects. The Parry Sound Area CBDC offers business development and access to capital services for small and medium-sized enterprises, and supports local community development initiatives.
