A Junior Architectural Associate at Altius, Jonathan has a Master of Architecture from California
College of the Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural History and Theory from the
University of Toronto. In addition to his education in San Francisco, Jonathan has spent time
studying architecture abroad in Japan, Italy, Spain and France and believes that these
experiences can help contribute and influence unique changes to the Canadian architecture,
and design scene.
Jonathan enjoys looking for ways to use architecture as a remedy for global-environmental
challenges. He is also an advocate for bridging heritage conservation, and restoration, with
environmental resolutions, which was demonstrated in his Master of Architecture thesis
research and redesign of the San Francisco Sutro Baths.
Prior to joining the Altius team, Jonathan has experience working for the renowned Canadian
architecture firm, Kirkor, in Toronto. Jonathan is dedicated and motivated to helping clients
reach their ultimate design dreams and strives towards ensuring positive relationships, which
helps both parties during the design process.
